More Motorway Miles For The Bantams Next Season

29 May 2018

City supporters will have to travel a total of 6,672* miles supporting the Bantams next season.

Following Coventry City's victory over Exeter City in the Sky Bet League Two Play-Off Final on Monday, City now know their full schedule of opponents for the forthcoming 2018/2019 campaign.

As they were last season, Plymouth Argyle and Portsmouth will once again be the Bantams' two longests trips of the season in League One.

The journey to Wycombe Wanderers will be the furthest City will have to travel to play one of the seven new sides to enter League One for the 18/19 campaign.

The visit to Wycombe's Adams Park will work out to be just under 400 miles in total there and back from the Northern Commercials Stadium.

The trip to Rochdale will remain City's nearest away league match for the new season.

Following their relegation from the Championship, Yorkshire neighbours Barnsley and Lancashire side Accrington Stanley - promoted up from League Two last season - will also be local trips for City next season.

City supporters following the Bantams last season (2017/2018 campaign) will have travelled approximately 6,192 * miles to watch their team in action away from home during the regular league campaign.

Crunching the numbers this time around, however, Bradford followers are scheduled to rack up 480 * more motorway miles next season as they travel up and down the country cheering on the lads.

* Mileage taken directly from the Northern Commercials Stadium to the visiting ground. Mileage figures also includes return journeys.
