Drainage is nearly complete at The Northern Commercials Stadium.
After tough weather conditions towards the end of the previous season, the Club committed to significantly upgrading The Northern Commercials pitch.
IFA and UEFA approved consultant Richard Hayden, from Hayden Turfcare Ltd in Wetherby, is overseeing the works which is being carried out by North of England firm CLS Sport Ltd.
The secondary drainage is being installed which creates a more intense drainage system to connect the surface to the underlying pipe drainage and by ensuring the water will flow in any direction.
The next step will be to level the pitch with a reinforcement of fibre sand. Once this has been done, the pitch will be seeded and fertilised. The team aim to have this done by Sunday (weather permitting).
