Recruitment Process Ongoing As Retained List Announced

17 May 2018

The club would like to inform fans that the search for our new head coach is progressing well and we are very pleased with the calibre of the candidates who have expressed an interest in the role.

As we continue to search for the right candidate who fits our long-term strategy, we can confirm that we are now in the process of assessing our shortlist of prospective coaches.

We trust that fans will understand our stance of not being drawn into commenting on speculation regarding any of the coaches linked to the job, out of respect to the individuals involved.

With regards our playing squad, we can confirm that the following players have not been offered new contracts and will therefore depart the football club when their current deals expire at the end of June:

Nicky Law
Tony McMahon
Lukas Raeder
Rouven Sattelmaier
Reece Webb-Foster
Alex Laird

All of the above players leave the Northern Commercials Stadium with the best wishes of the Club.

The Club's other out-of-contract players this summer - Colin Doyle, Timothée Dieng, Jordan Gibson, Ellis Hudson and Curtis Peters - have been offered new deals.

Academy prospect Reece Powell has been offered a professional deal, which is addition to young goalkeeper George Sykes-Kenworthy signing a deal earlier this season.

Young striker Joel Grodowski had received an offer but has decided to return home to Germany.

Loan players Alex GillieadMatthew Lund and Callum Guy have all returned to their parent clubs.

Our other on-loan player Stephen Warnock has announced his retirement from professional football.

We would like to thank all our players for their efforts during the course of the season, and once again thank you for your patience and support during this crucial time for the club
