The auction for signed shirts worn to support former City captain Stephen Darby will end at 5.00pm today.

The club can confirm all monies raised from this auction and other events and initiatives will be donated directly to the Motor Neurone Disease Association, at the request of Stephen and his family.

We have received more than 50 bids for the special ‘Darby 2' warm-up shirts worn prior to kick-off, last month, against Doncaster Rovers and Bristol Rovers.

Those who have placed the highest 20 bids - by close of business today - will be contacted from Monday to arrange collection.

We have extended the chance for supporters to get their hands on limited-edition copies of FIFA 19 by purchasing an entry ticket, for as little as £1, from The City Shop.

This initiative will be formally brought to a close next Friday, with monies raised being donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Meanwhile, tickets for the Tuesday October 30 Stephen Darby Evening are selling fast and places are becoming hugely limited.

More than 250 places have already been secured and we are delighted to announce David Hopkin and his City squad will be in attendance on the night.

City chairman Edin Rahic said: “The response for Stephen has been nothing short of phenomenal and, having spoken to him and his representatives, I know he really appreciates the fantastic support.

“Stephen and his family would like to see all funds donated to charity and we are stepping up our efforts in order to do all we can to raise as much money as possible.

“We hope to meet with Stephen and his representatives in the coming weeks, regarding the hosting of a special testimonial fundraising fixture.

“It is important the Darby family are allowed the privacy they require, so we will cooperate fully with the wishes of Stephen.”

Tickets for the Stephen Darby Evening hugely are priced at just £10 and can be purchased from The City Shop and by CLICKING HERE. All proceeds will be donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
