McCANN WARY OF BANTAMS

21 September 2018

Doncaster manager Grant McCann is wary of the threat posed by David Hopkin’s side, insisting the Bantams lie in a “false position”.

City travel to the Keepmoat Stadium tomorrow bidding to bring an end to the Rovers’ five-match unbeaten run in Sky Bet League One.

McCann, who joined Doncaster in June, is preparing the South Yorkshire outfit to keep the Bantams’ front three at bay.

The former Peterborough boss said: “Bradford are a good team. I think they are in a bit of a false position at the minute.

“The new manager has come in and, having watched the last two games, they could have taken four points - if not six.

“We know it is a tough game (for us). Their front three are as good as any in League One, with Jack Payne, David Ball and Eoin Doyle.

“They are a handful, so we will need to make sure we are good defensively.”

Supporters have until 4.00pm to purchase tickets ahead of tomorrow’s fixture.
