PYROTECHNICS WARNING
The club would like to remind supporters that carrying pyrotechnics into a football ground or using them is strictly prohibited.
Those found to be carrying or using pyrotechnics will face a long-term ban.
THE GROUND
The club was founded in 1883 by Willie Stanley, an employee of cycle firm Singers.
The club, as a result, was known as Singers FC until 1898 when the name was changed to Coventry City.
Early matches were played at Dowells Field, off Binley Road until a move to Stoke Road in 1887 before the move to the Highfield Road site in 1899.
The Ricoh Arena became the venue for Coventry City's home games at the start of the 2005–06 season, following 106 years at the Highfield Road stadium.
It is a complex which includes a 32,609-seater stadium, used by Wasps rugby union and Coventry City, a 6,000 square metres (65,000 sq ft) exhibition hall, a hotel and a casino.
Away supporters are mostly accommodated to one side of the South Stand towards the corner with the West Stand.

City supporters can pay on the gate for this fixture.

Ambulant disabled supporters pay the relevant ticket price and are entitled to a free carer ticket as long as the disabled supporter is on a medium to high rate disability allowance.
Anyone who did not collect their tickets from the Northern Commercials Ticket Office by 4:00pm on Wednesday April 17 - can redeem their tickets at the Ricoh Arena.
GETTING THERE
By road...
If travelling by car from from the North, we advise using either the M6 or M1. If using the M1, join the M6 at the Catthorpe Interchange and leave the motorway at Junction 3 before joining the A444 (South). For the M6, exit at Junction 3 and join the A444 (South).
For fans travelling by car from the South, we advise using the M1 and joining the M6 at the Catthorpe Interchange and leaving the motorway at Junction 3 before joining the A444 (South).
By rail…
Coventry is on the main line between London and Birmingham.
Coventry train station is located in Coventry city centre, around 4 miles from the Ricoh Arena.
There is an on-site train station at the Ricoh Arena - 'Coventry Arena'. There is no special matchday schedule, and trains run as timetabled.

CAR PARKING

Official off-site car parking is available from £3 at www.ricoharenaparking.co.uk
Car Parks A and B are located on-site at the Ricoh Arena and can be accessed via the main entrance on Judds Lane. Car Park C is located adjacent to the stadium, and can be accessed from the A444.
On street car parking within 2km vicinity of the Ricoh Arena on matchdays is for permit holders only.
ENTERTAINMENT & REFRESHMENTS
The pubs...
On one corner of the stadium, is the Grosvenor Casino. This has bars inside and also shows televised sport. Both home and away fans are admitted on matchdays.
Please note: that the Grosvenor Casino has a strict over 18's policy, so is not suitable for families. In fact, anyone who looks under 25 should make sure they have photo ID.
Inside the casino, there are two bars, plus a number of pop-up bars depending on the anticipated attendance.
If you like your ale then around a five-minute walk away from the visitors' turnstiles on the Hales Industrial Estate, is the recently opened Dhillons Brewery. Located in an industrial unit, it offers pre-match a number of real ales and bottled craft beers.
The Food...
The JK English Pub - an Indian/Pub - had a pub feel (pool table, jukebox, etc) but was also an Indian restaurant. On Saturday's it also does a £5 all you can eat lunchtime buffet.
To find this pub, coming away from the North Stand at the Ricoh, follow the towpath over the canal for about 400 yards passing the Tesco Extra on your right (which also has a cafe). When you come on to Longford Road, head right, towards Coventry City Centre and the pub is around 200 yards on your right-hand side.
Inside the ground...
Alternatively, alcohol is also available inside the stadium in the form of bottles of 500ml Carling Lager at £3.40 each or Magners Cider (300ml) at £3.50.
