BANTAMS AVOID FA ACTION

17 April 2019

Bradford City will face no further action from The FA following a pitch incursion, which occurred during the club’s 3-1 victory over Peterborough United last month.

After a detailed submission was made by City officials, the governing body are satisfied and no fines are to be handed down.

Club ambassador Roger Owen said: “We cannot afford to trivialise these instances, despite what we may think following more recent events involving Jack Grealish and Chris Smalling.

“The FA are rightly looking very closely at these instances and we were extremely concerned when The FA contacted us regarding this matter, having had incidents against Walsall and Rochdale.

“Thankfully, we have been able to provide evidence to support our best endeavours and The FA are content with what we have presented.

“We must learn from these incidents, however, and ensure there are no repeats in the remaining home or away fixtures."
