The club has honoured a loyal Bantams fan preparing to take in his 80th season as a City supporter!
Albert Stead, who first attended a game at Valley Parade in the 1930s, was this morning introduced to manager Gary Bowyer and his squad.
And to mark Albert’s milestone, the club presented him with a special shirt and a complimentary 2019/20 ‘Our City’ season ticket when he also met with club legends Ian Cooper and Ian Ormondroyd.
Albert attends games alongside two generations of his family and is already looking forward to next season.
“It has been a very enjoyable journey over the past 80 seasons following City,” he said.
“I have enjoyed my life watching football at Valley Parade, with my family and friends.
“My granddaughter now comes and supports the club as well, which means a great deal to me.
“My most special memories include going to Wembley, with Bradford, and going to Chelsea - and stuffing them!
“We have been through thick and thin but I will always be a loyal City supporter.
“I would love to see City get back to the Premier League. I am proud supporter and want success at this club to last for years to come.”
