STAUNTON TO CONTINUE OSSETT LOAN SPELL

30 August 2019

Reece Staunton has extended his loan stay with Ossett United.

The 17-year-old, who featured for the Bantams in pre-season, has made three competitive appearances for the club.

And following an initial period at Ingfield, Staunton’s work experience agreement with the non-league outfit is to run for a further 28 days.

Mark Trueman, City’s lead professional development phase coach, said: “Reece has been made very welcome and he is enjoying his time with Ossett.

“They are a great club and have offered Reece an opportunity to test himself in men’s football - at senior level.

“He has impressed so far, starting his spell with them well, and they were keen to retain his services.

“It certainly works well for us as we continue developing Reece, so he can eventually push for a place in our senior squad.

“He is playing with - and going up against - big strong lads. It is the test he needs and Reece is really benefiting from it.”
