City will show support for Stonewall by backing their Rainbow Laces campaign in Saturday's Sky Bet League Two fixture against Newport County.

The campaign aims to draw attention to increased lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer or questioning (LGBTQ+) inclusion in football.

And the Bantams' 3.00pm visit of the South Wales outfit will signify their officially-designated rainbow laces game.

On the day, players will wear Stonewall's rainbow shoelaces in their football boots, with the club aiming to support inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community in football as far as possible.

City's director of communications, Ryan Sparks, said: "We are immensely proud to be supporting Stonewall's Rainbow Laces campaign, against Newport.

"Discrimination, of any kind, in any sport or walk of life is completely unnaceptable.

"At Bradford City, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive club. Our involvement in and support of this campaign reflects that.

"Hopefully, this year's campaign will prove successful as we strive to 'Make Sport Everyone's Game'."
