BIG MATCH PREVIEW: CITY v SALFORD

The Bantams return to action at the Utilita Energy Stadium tomorrow, hosting Salford City in their final encounter before Christmas. 

Gary Bowyer's look to extend their unbeaten run to four matches in the 3.00pm encounter. 

The visiting Ammies currently sit 14th in the division, with their their first-ever campaign contesting league football. 

We have compiled a Big Match Preview full of in-depth pre-match analysis - ahead of the encounter. 

TEAM NEWS

City: Gary Bowyer could again name an unchanged side from last week's draw at Leyton Orient. 

The City manager admitted his whole squad came through the trip to the Breyer Group Stadium unchanged. 

Harry Pritchard could be pushing for a start, while Hope Akpan could again be in contention. 

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAID

Gary Bowyer: "Salford have a very experienced management duo who I have come across several times.

"Graham Alexander did a great job at Scunthorpe and is an experienced manager with promotion on his CV.

"It is no surprise to see them playing in the EFL, now. They have a great squad of players and owners who are doing a fabulous job."

LAST TIME OUT

Tomorrow's contest will be the first-ever meeting between the two sides, after Salford secured promotion to the EFL for the first time in their history, last season. 

MATCH OFFICIALS
 
Carl Boyeson has been in charge of 14 matches this season, issuing 38 yellow cards and three red. 
 
The East Yorkshire official has taken charge of one Salford clash this season - in October - and took charge od the Bantams' 2-0 victory over Scunthorpe, last December, issuing six yellow cards and one red.
 
Boyeson will be flanked by Billy Smallwood and Helen Edwards, with Matthew Smith appointed fourth official.
