Gary Bowyer was left frustrated at not being able to take all three points, following a goalless draw at Leyton Orient.
The stalemate saw City move up to fifth in Sky Bet League Two, extending their unbeaten run to three games.
However, Bowyer expressed his disappointment after his Bantams proved unable to record back-to-back victories.
He said: “We started well but lost a bit of impetus, in the first half, and failed to keep our rhythm.
“There was not much in the game, at all. We had a few chances and had opportunities to create more openings, but did not take them.
“Leyton Orient were limited to no shots on target which Richard O’Donnell had to save, by us.
“When that happens, we are obviously disappointed to not be able to capitalise and take all three points.
“We asked the players to kick on, in the second half, and we failed to do that.”
In a closely-contested encounter, Bowyer was impressed by the challenge City’s East London hosts presented them with.
Orient marked the day by remembering late manager Justin Edinburgh - who would have been celebrating his 50th birthday this week - and the Bantams boss believes this inspired the side.
Bowyer added: “It was a very hard-fought, competitive game.
“Leyton Orient Football Club conducted themselves unbelievably well with regards to the launch of the Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation.
“Justin’s birthday is coming up and Orient were super in the way they marked that.
“Their players obviously have great memories of working with him, which definitely showed in their performance against us.”
