OTEH CONFIDENT AHEAD OF ORIENT ENCOUNTER

12 December 2019

Aramide Oteh is feeling confident and enjoying his time in City colours ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two encounter at Leyton Orient.

The versatile attacker has scored three goals so far this season and almost added to his tally against Newport County.

Despite an extended run in the side, the Queens Park Rangers loanee believes there is “more to come” from him.

Oteh stated: “After the header - against Newport - I was running off to celebrate, but it was a great save from the goalkeeper.

“However, I feel confident in myself of being able to get a run of games in and score goals.

“We have a great squad here, so it is hard to keep your place but - with an extended run of matches - I have more of a chance of scoring goals.

“I am feeling good at the moment but still feel there is more to come from me.

“I have played in different positions, so far, this season, which I have enjoyed and am getting different chances at the club which is making the most of my loan.

“I feel good and confident at the moment and I am just hoping to keep pushing and progressing.”

In a campaign where he has been heavily used for Gary Bowyer’s men, the No.25 credited Clayton Donaldson and James Vaughan for the development of his career.

He added: “Clayton and Vaughany have played hundreds of games and have enjoyed successful careers.

“It is obviously great to be around them and very rewarding to play alongside them.

“We have a good relationship - on and off the pitch - so it is easy to get along with them, but very easy to get advice, as well.

“If you know football, you know about the two. It is great to be around people who know so much and have achieved so much.

“Playing and training with them will only benefit my career, going forward.”
