Bradford City can today announce the departure of Kai Bruenker.
The 24-year-old striker made 31 appearances after arriving at the Northern Commercials Stadium, last year, from SC Freiburg.
After leaving the club by mutual consent it is understood Bruenker will join a club in his native Germany.
Bruenker said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank the supporters, who have been fantastic towards me.
“The City supporters are the best I have ever seen and they deserve three points every week.
“The way the fans held me in their hearts has been very special. I will never forget my time with the Bantams.
“David Hopkin is a fantastic manager and person - and I wish him great success at the club.
“There are some great players at the club and I hope to see them move up the table and get as many points as they can.
“I am sad to leave the club but have a great opportunity in front of me, in Germany, to get more game time and progress my career.”
City boss David Hopkin added: "I would like to thank Kai for all of his efforts since I arrived at the club.
"He has given everything in training and games - and has been great to work with.
"Kai has a great opportunity in front of him, back home, and we wish him the very best."
Meanwhile, a third allocation of tickets for Saturday's trip to Barnsley will go on sale from tomorrow. More than 2,000 tickets have already been sold.
