PULSE TO END LIVE COMMENTARY

22 July 2019

Pulse 2 has announced it can no longer provide matchday commentary of Bradford City fixtures.

In a statement, Pulse 1 and Pulse 2’s station director, Roger Cutsforth, said: “Following a review of our partnership we have agreed that continuing with our commentary service on Pulse 2 is not something we feel is in the best interests of either business.

“Pulse 1 and Pulse 2 will continue with their reporting of all things Bradford City and continue to support the club in the same way as we currently do with Huddersfield Town and Halifax Town.

“The professional football clubs in our region are an integral part of the community. They are very important to many of our listeners and we’ll continue to reflect that in our sports news reporting, both on air and across our digital platforms.

“We wish everyone at Bradford City the very best of luck for the new season and look forward to reporting on a successful promotion-winning campaign.”

City’s director of communications, Ryan Sparks, added: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Pulse for their fantastic support and coverage over the years.

“Although Pulse 2 is no longer able to offer live coverage of our home and away fixtures, we will be working closely with them to ensure they can gain access to the club and maintain their week-to-week coverage.”
