Following his appointment at the beginning of the week, new City boss Gary Bowyer has made three changes to City's starting XI for his opening game in charge of the Bantams.

Kelvin Mellor, Jermaine Anderson and the fit-again Calum Woods come into the side for Paul Caddis, Connor Wood and Jack Payne.

For Woods, it will be the defender's first City appearance in over a month following a hamstring injury, while Anderson - a former Peterborough player - is handed his maiden starting berth with the Bantams.

With Caddis on the bench, Hope Akpan has been named as the skipper for the afternoon.

The remainder of City's side remains the same from the team that began last Saturday's game at Portsmouth.

Payne and Caddis have been named on the bench by Bowyer, with Adam Chicksen - who became a father for the first time on Tuesday - also among City's list of substitutes.
