Gary Bowyer is looking forward to an entertaining encounter when the Bantams play host to high-flying Exeter City tomorrow (3.00pm).

The visiting Grecians currently sit second in the Sky Bet League Two table, with City hot on their heels, in sixth.

And Bowyer confessed he is excited to see two equally-matched sides stand toe-to-toe.

The Bantams boss said: "It should be a very entertaining game between two good footballing sides. We are looking forward to it.

"Exeter are a very able team with a lot of experience in this league.

"They strengthened well, over the summer, and have a good manager who knows his side very well, having been there over a year.

"It will be a tough match but they have areas we believe we can definitely exploit, which we will obviously look to do."

Despite a frustrating couple of weeks, Bowyer insists the mood in the Bantams’ camp is still a positive one.

His side look to return to winning ways after defeat to Port Vale was followed by last week’s postponed fixture at Macclesfield Town, and the City chief insists confidence is flowing.

He added: "The postponed match was frustrating because we now have to re-arrange that into a busy schedule.

"We were raring to go but, in a sense, it was a blessing in disguise. It gave the injured players more time to recover.

"Confidence levels are still very high, in the group, after our second-half performance against Port Vale.

"The intensity in training, this week, has been fantastic and there is a real freshness about the lads.

"We want to bounce back strong but, at the same time, build on an impressive second half against Port Vale and the form we were on before that defeat."
