Gary Bowyer has insisted there is plenty still to come from his Bantams, ahead of Saturday’s trip to Morecambe.

Bowyer is satisfied with the start City have made to the 2019/20 campaign - currently sitting in the Sky Bet League Two play-off spots.

But the Bantams boss has demanded more from his players in order to ensure they keep progressing.

He said: "Although we are only 12 games in to the season, there is still a lot more to come, from us.

"Things take time and success at a football club is one of them. We are rebuilding the whole attitude and culture.

"The world we live in says we want everything done within 12 weeks, but it is a working progress.

"The fight, passion and character we have been showing, in recent weeks, is encouraging.

"I can really see us beginning to grow as a team. There is an awful lot of belief, amongst the squad.

"The players are going about it in the right way and it is important for us to continue that."

Despite currently sitting 23rd in the league, Bowyer expects Morecambe to prove difficult opposition in tomorrow’s clash.

Although adamant Jim Bentley’s Shrimps will provide a tough test, he has insisted the recent signs shown from his side fill him with encouragement.

The City chief added: "I have told the players this will be our toughest game of the season, because it is the next one.

"Jim Bentley has done a fantastic job at Morecambe, over the years.

"He has proved he can get his teams going. We are in for a real fight which we have to go and match.

"We must approach it with the right attitude and go again, like we did against Swindon.

"The character we have shown, in recent weeks, is fantastic and we need to keep it up."

Tickets for tomorrow’s contest are SOLD OUT, with over 1,600 City supporters expected to travel to the west coast.
