Aramide Oteh was delighted to have scored his first goal in City colours, helping the Bantams to a 2-1 success at Morecambe.

Appearing from the bench - just after the hour mark - Oteh struck to put the Bantams into a 2-0 lead, with 12 minutes remaining.

The on-loan Queens Park Rangers man was relieved to have opened his account in claret and amber.

He said: "I am delighted to have finally scored my first goal for the club. That is the reason I was brought here, to score goals.

"It is a massive part of my game so I am just happy to have got off the mark, for City.

"Hopefully, I can kick on, now, and that goal will be the first of many, this season.

"I was disappointed not to have scored just after I came on - with the header - which gives me something to work on.

"But I am buzzing to have got on the scoresheet and made an impact with the minutes I was given, on the pitch."

Having signed on deadline day of the summer transfer window, the striker can now feel both his and the team’s performance levels growing rapidly.

Victory at Morecambe saw Gary Bowyer’s men go four league matches unbeated and Oteh is encouraged to see City finding a balance between results and performances.

The 21-year-old added: "All the lads are over the moon with the three points.

"Gary (Bowyer) has spoken about kicking on and having a positive mentality and I think we summed that up quite well, with our performance.

"We are definitely gelling a lot better, as a team, and starting to understand eachothers’ games a lot more.

"When I first arrived, here, the results were there but we were not really performing as well as we knew we could.

"Now, we are still picking up results but our performances are getting a lot better, as well, both individually and collectively.

"We worked very hard as a team and deserved the victory. Now, we need to keep pushing on, up the league table."

Both Oteh and City will look to continue their momentum when hosting Crawley Town and Port Vale in back-to-back home fixtures, beginning next Saturday (October 19). CLICK HERE to purchase tickets.
