CLUB STATEMENT: CROWD SAFETY

30 September 2019

From Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two game against Swindon Town, safety netting will be installed to the first three rows of seating in The Kop (North Stand).

This comes as a result of FA investigations into pitch encroachment, following recent home fixtures against Northampton Town and Carlisle United.

Club officials are working in conjunction with the FA and West Yorkshire Police to identify those who have entered the field of play during the aforementioned Sky Bet League Two games.

Supporters who have breached ground safety regulations, committed offences or behaved in a manner which could harm the club’s reputation will be subject to action and potential prosecution.

One supporter will, this week, be issued with a 12-month ban for pitch incursions made in previous home fixtures and others have been identified by West Yorkshire Police.

Those affected by the installation of safety netting - in the first three rows of The Kop - have been contacted by post and have until 5.00pm on Friday to move their seats.

As a gesture of goodwill and an apology for inconvenience caused, supporters affected will receive a free match pass to a banqueting suite - for two home fixtures of their choice.

Please call 01274 770012 to complete your seat swap. The club, once again, apologises for any inconvenience caused as a result of these forced changes.
