Shay McCartan is looking forward to kicking on in claret and amber after making his return - in City's 1-0 victory at Walsall.
The Irish forward made his second appearance of the campaign, at the Banks’s Stadium, having been frustrated with injuries since the beginning of pre-season.
McCartan was delighted with how his side ground out the victory in the West Midlands and is looking forward to gathering more momentum.
He said: "We were all delighted with the victory and the way we showed our resilience to come away with three points.
"We are winning ugly, at the minute. We have not been playing brilliantly but are picking up points and working hard, which is the main thing.
"It is important, in this division, to keep coming up with results and we need to do that in whichever way possible.
"I am delighted to be back. It has been a long pre-season for me, personally, with probably only around two to three weeks worth of full training.
"But it is great to have returned. I am looking forward to improving, kicking on and hopefully enjoying a good season."
Having earned promotion from the fourth tier with Lincoln City last season, the 25-year-old is no stranger to success in this division.
McCartan is adamant the experience within the Bantams’ ranks will prove pivotal in Sky Bet League Two, this term.
The former Accrington Stanley man added: "There is experience in all departments of this squad, which is fantastic.
"Players like Clayton Donaldson and James Vaughan have played at a high level and lads like myself, Jake Reeves and Kelvin Mellor have a lot of experience in this division.
"We have a lot of knowledge and know-how and are all aware of what it takes to get three points on a regular basis and earn promotion.
"It is going to be difficult and Gary (Bowyer) is making every day a challenge, at the moment.
"But everyone is really enjoying themselves and this is certainly a very healthy place to be."
McCartan will be hoping to make successive Bantams appearances when visiting Cheltenham Town this Tuesday (7.45pm). CLICK HERE to purchase tickets.
