Man of the match Paudie O’Connor says City were unlucky not to record back-to-back league victories, following a 1-1 draw at Scunthorpe United.

Despite conceding early on, the Bantams responded well, with O’Connor’s equaliser coming in between spells of increased pressure from the visitors.

The centre-back described a feeling of frustration after the result, insisting his side deserved more.

He said: "We were all very deflated, overall. The dressing room was down because we obviously went to Scunthorpe to get three points.

"It is positive we have been able to come from losing positions and pick up points but, with a bit more concentration, at times, we could be coming away with more.

"Throughout the game, we had control, particularly after going a goal down.

"They dropped very deep and made it difficult for us to break them down.

"We were unlucky not to win, in the end. In the second half, we got in and around their box a lot, we just could not get the ball over the line.

"We were very disappointed not be able to get the second goal and win the match."

O’Connor hailed the impact the travelling band of the supporters who made the trip to North Lincolnshire.

Over 1,500 Bantams fans packed into the Sands Venue Stadium away end and the 22-year-old stressed their importance, both at home and away.

"The supporters were class again, at Scunthorpe,” added the former Leeds United man.

"They really got behind us and continue to be a credit to our club.

"It felt, again, like they were trying to help the ball into the net for us. They have been fantastic, all season.

"Wherever we go, they travel in numbers, as well as making the Utilita Energy Stadium a very difficult place for visiting teams to come.

"We will need their loyal support, next week against Swindon Town, and throughout the campaign. Hopefully, they come out in their numbers, once more."
