City are back in action at the Utilita Energy Stadium tomorrow, hosting Northampton Town in Sky Bet League Two.

Keith Curle’s side travel to West Yorkshire in mixed form, winning two games in their last five and currently sitting 17th in the table.

The Bantams are looking to bounce back to winning ways in the league and could move up to fifth in the division, by bagging three points.

Ahead of the fixture, we have compiled an Opposition Guide - packed full of useful information on tomorrow's visitors...

The Cobblers have had a busy off season, with widespread changes in terms of incomings and outgoings.

Ins: Reece Hall-Johnson (Grimsby), Vadaine Oliver (Morecambe), Andy Fisher (Blackburn), Joe Martin (Stevenage), Alan McCormack (Luton), Matt Warburton (Stockport), Scott Wharton (Blackburn), Nicky Adams (Bury), Egli Kaja (AFC Wimbledon), Chris Lines (Bristol Rovers), Ryan Watson (MK Dons), Steve Arnold (Shrewsbury), harry Smith (Macclesfield), Charlie Goode (Scunthorpe).

Outs: Daniel Powell (Crewe Alexandra), Sam Foley (St. Mirren), Jack Bridge (Carlisle), Ash Taylor (Aberdeen), Luke Coddington (Chesterfield), Joe Iaciofano (St. Albans), Joe Bunney (Bolton), John-Joe O’Toole (Burton), David Buchanan (Chesterfield), Shay Facey (Walsall), Aaron Pierre (Shrewsbury), Junior Morias (St. Mirren), Dean Bowditch (Released).

Andy Williams:

The experienced forward has started the season well, grabbing three goals in the opening five games, including two last time out against Plymouth Argyle.

The 33-year-old leads the line on his own for the Cobblers, and Gary Bowyer’s side will have to silence the striker to try prevent a goal threat.

Jordan Turnbull:

Centre-back Turnbull joined up with Northampton in the January window two seasons ago, after a spell at Coventry City.

The former Southampton youngster has spent the past few years dotted around the Football League, as well as a spell north of the border with Partick Thistle.

A consistent feature of this Cobblers side, Turnbull will look to battle with and keep the likes of James Vaughan and Clayton Donaldson quiet tomorrow.

Sam Hoskins:

The 26-year-old goes into his fifth season as a Cobbler, still occupying a starting role in Keith Curle’s side.

A reputation for creativity and hard work, Hoskins will look to cause problems out wide for either full-back, giving Bowyer a target to combat.

Former England defender Keith Curle has been at the helm since the summer of 2018, after leaving Carlisle United.

The centre-back lists a decorated playing career, with the likes of Wimbledon, Manchester City, Wolves and Sheffield United on his CV.

Three England caps also came, including an appearance at Euro 92.

Managerial spells at Mansfield, Chester, Torquay and Notts County set him up for the move to Carlisle, before taking the reigns of the Cobblers.

Skipper Charlie Goode joined the club this summer for an undisclosed fee from Scunthorpe United.

The 23-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Cobblers and was soon appointed captain by Curle.

Curle described the appointment as the “next ideal step in his development”, and will shadow club captain Nicky Adams.

Adams started his second spell at the club this summer, signing from Bury.

An experienced pro, Adams lists the likes of Leicester City, Brentford, Rochdale and Rotherham on his CV.

The 32-year-old previously enjoyed a year with the Cobblers throughout the 2015/16 season.

In their previous fixture - on Tuesday – Peterborough were the victors over the Cobblers in the Trophy. Keith Curle did major rotation to his side though, in preparation for the trip to the Utilita Energy Stadium.
