Bantams boss Gary Bowyer has made seven changes to his starting XI for City's opening Northern Group F encounter with Bolton Wanderers in this season's Trophy.

Fresh from coming off the bench to make his City debut against Crewe Alexandra at the weekend, Harry Pritchard is given his first start for the Bantams at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Sam Hornby, Jackson Longridge, Tyler French, Jordan Gibson, Jermaine Anderson and Daniel Devine are also handed starting berths against the Whites.

With James Vaughan rested, fellow striker Clayton Donaldson will skipper the side against one of his former clubs.

Zeli Ismail is named on the bench for his first involvement in a match-day squad this season.
