CLUB SUPPORTING 2.6 CHALLENGE

25 April 2020

The Bantams are proud to be supporting The 2.6 Challenge - getting underway tomorrow (Sunday April 24) - raising vital funds to help UK charities!

As a result of the ongoing outbreak of COVID-19, many fundraising events across the country have been forced to cancel.

This, in turn, has had a devastating effect on charity income, meaning many organisations could be forced to close.

In response, the organisers of the biggest mass-participation sports events across the country are asking the public to do their bit by participating in The 2.6 Challenge.

The campaign, launching on what should have been the date of the 40th London Marathon, urges the public to dream up an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26.

This could be a 26-minute cardio session, a 2.6-mile run or even a 26-kilometre bike ride! The choice is yours.

Once the activity has been performed, participants are then asked to fundraise or donate to save the UK’s charities by CLICKING HERE.

The 2.6 Challenge is open to anyone of any age – the only requirement is that the activity must follow the government's guidelines on exercise and social distancing.
