CLUB SUPPORTING 'SCRUBS 4 BRI'

8 April 2020

The club are proud to be supporting the 'Scrubs 4 BRI' campaign - raising money for more comfortable uniforms for NHS workers during the coronavirus pandemic.

Currently, staff on COVID-19 wards at the Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI) are wearing normal uniforms plus any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) available.

With long and testing days at the hospital proving tiring, these uniforms are uncomfortable and make for even longer, more challenging shifts.

'Scrubs' - made of a lighter, thinner fabric - would enable them to move more freely and in more comfort, with their uniform being easier to wash and quicker to dry, for the short rest periods they are able to take.

The aim of 'Scrubs 4 BRI' is to fund and source 20 full 'Scrubs' - comprising tunic and trousers - to ease the daily lives of NHS workers during this crisis.

The campaign has so far raised £105 of their £500 target and the club are urging supporters - where possible - to help out.
