McCALL'S DREAM TEAM COMPETITION EXTENDED

4 April 2020

Stuart McCall has issued a message to supporters after his City Dream Team competition was extended until 5.00pm on Monday (April 6).

The competition, which initially ended at 5.00pm on Friday April 3, will see the lucky winner receive a 2020/21 home shirt - signed and presented by the Bantams boss himself.

From a 26-man shortlist, supporters must correctly guess McCall's dream starting 11 - selected in their correct positions - along with seven substitutes.

The side consists of players the Bantams boss shared the pitch with at the Utilita Energy Stadium over his two spells - between 1982 and 1988, and 1998 and 2002.

However, after no successful submissions were received by the Friday 5.00pm deadline, McCall took the decision to extend the competition until early next week.

This means supporters whose attempts were unsuccesful - prior to yesterday - will be granted one extra submission each.

The City boss said: "Thanks to everyone for taking time out to enter the competition for my 'Dream Team'.

"It has been really enjoyable reading the submissions. Every player on the 26-man shortlist has been chosen - both in the starting 11 and on the bench. Who would be a manager?!

"Eight of you have named 10 out of the starting 11 and six out of seven from the bench correctly, equating to 16 out of the 18-man squad I have chosen.

"Two entries got closest, by correctly naming 17 out of the 18.

"Amusingly, a couple have tried to sneak eight players on the bench, and someone had big Mooro (Darren Moore) starting and on the bench.

"A few forgot to put a goalkeeper among the substitutes, and a couple had me starting.

"The deadline has now been put back to Monday at 5.00pm to find a winner. You can now
submit another entry over the weekend to finally try match my dream 11.

"Good luck, enjoy reminiscing and stay safe!

"Cheers, Stuart."
