BANTAMS BACK SHIRT APPEAL

9 December 2020

The club has donated a box of 23 old City shirts to Bradford City Community Foundation’s Surprise Shirt Appeal - which will provide vulnerable young people across the district with clothing over the festive period.

The appeal will see as many youngsters as possible provided with old City shirts in time for Christmas - as the charity gives back by donating garments over the winter season.

And the club has today provided its Community Foundation with a box of 23 jerseys from seasons gone by to distribute around disadvantaged children over the course of the coming weeks.

Bradford City Football in the Community’s head of operations and organiser of the appeal, Adam Thirsk, said: “It is great to see the club getting involved in our winter shirt appeal and we greatly appreciate the donation.

“We are trying very hard to strengthen the ties between Bradford City and its Community Foundation, and this represents that massively.

“I would urge anyone else who wants to play their part to please get in touch to help provide some joy to disadvantaged youngsters this Christmas.”

To get involved with the appeal - which is taking donations of old and new City shirts, and is available to be sponsored, please e-mail adam.thirsk@bcfccommunity.co.uk.
