TEAM NEWS

City: Billy Clarke is likely to once again feature for the Bantams - along with Lee Novak, who scored the first goal in a 2-1 win against Grimsby Town last time out.

Kurtis Guthrie and Gareth Evans should also be available for the trip to Birkenhead. They both came off of the bench to help City to victory last time out, following spells on the sidelines.

Zeli Ismail and Reece Staunton are both still out with long-term injuries and will not be in contention for Mark Trueman’s squad. Bryce Hosannah also remains a doubt.

Tranmere: Former Bantam James Vaughan is expected to feature after starting and scoring their third and final goal in their last match against Bolton Wanderers.

Former Liverpool midfielder Jay Spearing should also be the Whites’ squad - having made 22 appearances this season.
