OPPOSITION GUIDE: STEVENAGE

City play host to Stevenage tomorrow evening, in their fourth game at the Utilita Energy Stadium in two days (7.45pm). 

Graham Westley's men have endured a difficult campaign so far and are sat bottom of Sky Bet League Two, having lost their last four matches. 

We have compiled an Opposition Guide, packed full of detailed information on this evening's visitors.

SUMMER TRANSFER ACTIVITY

The Lamex Stadium outfit spent a busy January making 12 additions to their squad, with a further 12 departing. 

Ins: Alex Revell (playing terms), Joe Leesley (Harrogate Town, loan), Jake Cassidy (Maidenhead United), Craig Mackail-Smith (Wycombe Wanderers, loan extended), Diaguely Dabo, Simeon Jackson, Sacha Bastien (contract extended), David Parkhouse (Sheffield United, loan), Dan Kemp (West Ham United, loan), Candice Carroll (Brentford, loan), Ben Folami (Ipswich Town, loan), Patrick Reading (Middlesbrough).

ONES TO WATCH

Dan Kemp:

An exciting young midfielder, Kemp signed for Boro in January, on loan from West Ham United. 

The 21-year-old former Chelsea man marked his debut for Stevenage with a goal at Exeter City on Saturday. 

Simeon Jackson:

Another of the Hertfordshire side's January signings, Jackson carries a wealth of experience in the EFL. 

The Canada international has enjoyed spells at Norwich City, Coventry City, Gillingham and Walsall, as well as spending time in Scotland and Germany. 

Craig Mackail-Smith:

The experienced frontman is spending the 2019/20 campaign on loan at the Lamex Stadium from Wycombe Wnaderers. 

As well as successful spells at Brighton & Hove Albion, Peterbrough United and Dagenham & Redbridge, the 35-year-old also has seven caps and one goal for Scotland.

Tom Soares:

Having began his career at Crystal Palace after graduating through the Eagles' youth academy, Soares would then go on to represent Stoke City. 

The 33-year-old midfielder made 187 appearances for Bury before joining Stevenage last summer. 

THE MANAGER

Now enjoying his fourth spell at the Stevenage helm, Graham Westley's affiliation with the club first began in 2003. 

The 51-year-old returned to Hertfordshire in December following now Oldham Athletic boss Dino Maamria's departure. 

A former striker, the ex-Preston North End and Peterborough United boss represented the likes of Gillinham, Barnet and Wycombe Wanderes in his playing days. 

THE CAPTAIN

A 32-year-old, Scott Cuthbert is now enjoying his second season at Stevenage having signed in May 2018. 

The defender is capped by Scotland at youth level having graduated through Celtic's academy. 

Having left his homeland, Cuthbert went on to play for Leyton Orient, Swindon Town and Luton Town, prior to signing for Boro. 

LAST TIME OUT

Graham Westley's men fell to their fourth-straight defeat on Saturday, losing 2-1 at high-flying Exeter City.
