AWAY DAY GUIDE: COLCHESTER v CITY

The Bantams contest their third away game in four matches this evening, travelling to Colchester United. 

We have compiled a handy Away Day Guide - packed full of useful information ahead of the 7.45pm contest!

PYROTECHNICS & BEHAVIOUR

The club would like to remind supporters the possession or use of pyrotechnics inside a football ground is strictly prohibited.

Those found to be carrying or using pyrotechnics will face a long-term ban.

We would like to remind supporters it is a criminal offence to enter the pitch at any time.

Anyone who does so without permission can expect to face prosecution.

ABOUT THE GROUND

A 10,105-capacity venue, the JobServe Community Stadium has been home to Colchester United since opening in 2008. 

The £14 million-project broke ground in July 2007, replacing the U's' previous home, Layer Road. 

The stadium has hosted Elton John, Lionel Richie and Olly Murs concerts, as well as England youth and women internationals. 

TICKETS

Tickets will remain on sale for this afternoon's affair, from the away ticket office at the JobServe Community Stadium. 

City supporters will be housed in the North Stand. 

Admission prices are as follows:

Adult: £22

18-21s: £18

Over-65s: £17

Under-18s: £13.50

Under-14s: £5.50

Under-11s: FREE*

Additional Under-11s: £2.50

*Maximum four per paying adult or over-65.

Ambulant disabled supporters pay the appropriate price above and ar entitled to a free carer ticket. 

PLEASE NOTE: Cash is only accepted in the main ticket office at the JobServe Community Stadium. The away ticket office does not accept contactless payment.

CAR PARKING

Car parking at the JobServe Community Stadium is available to book in advance - from £6. 

Four different options, in different sections of the stadium, are available - including an 'easy exit' area.

ENTERTAINMENT AND REFRESHMENTS

To drink:

The nearest pub to the JobServe Community Stadium is the Dog and Pheasant, around three quarters of a mile away from the ground. 

Alcohol, is also served inside the venue. 

To eat:

Near the aforementioned Dog and Pheasant is Myland Fisheries, on Nayland Road. 

In addition to this traditional fish and chip shop, food is served inside the JobServe Community Stadium from kiosks in the concourse. 

GETTING THERE

By car: 

The stadium is just seconds from the main A12 trunk road that serves East Anglia.

To access the ground from the north, turn off at junction 28, turning left at the first roundabout.

Turn right onto United Way from the second roundabout and you will arrive at the stadium.

By train: 

The closest train station for the JobServe Community Stadium is the Colchester North station, which is on the mainline from London or Norwich.

The station is 2.6 miles from the stadium and can be reached by the Park & Ride buses and the number 2 bus. 

By bus: 

In addition to the above routes, First buses 61 and 65 and Arriva buses 2 and 8 both serve routed to the stadium.

Supporters will be in for a chilly Essex evening for the affair, with temperatures of 3°C expected on a dry night.
