Gary Bowyer is expecting an entertaining game of football when his Bantams travel to Swindon Town, tomorrow (3.00pm).

The affair sees City, currently fourth in Sky Bet League Two, attempt to record their third-straight victory against the top-of-the-table Robins.

Bowyer believes a good match between two strong sides is in store, and knows how difficult of a challenge Richie Wellens’ men will provide his men.

The Bantams boss said: "It is going to be a good game. Swindon are a strong side who play good football.

"The biggest challenge for them, this season, will be to keep hold of their manager, because Richie Wellens has done a brilliant job since he has been there and is very highly thought of.

"We have got to make sure we recover well and get ready for what will hopefully be a really good game of football - on a good pitch."

The affair sees City attempt to extend their unbeaten run to eight matches, in which time they have conceded just two goals, keeping five clean sheets.

Bowyer has praised the recent efforts of his defensive line and is keen to see their form continue - at the Energy Check County Ground.

The City chief added: “It has been great to start 2020 - with three points - and we are looking to continue that.

“We have had two tough home games and have kept two clean sheets, which was very pleasing.

“We spoke about our good defensive record ahead of the Morecambe game. It is something we are very happy with and proud of.

“I am delighted for all the defenders and, in particular, for Richard O’Donnell.

“There is a great desire among the lads to keep the ball out of the back of the net. Long may that continue.”
