McGEE LOOKING TO KICK ON IN CLARET AND AMBER

23 January 2020

Luke McGee is relishing the challenge of fighting for results at City - ahead of Saturday’s trip to Mansfield Town.

The goalkeeper has started in both of the Bantams’ matches, since signing on loan from Portsmouth, to cover for the injured Richard O’Donnell.

With two points and a clean sheet on his record for Gary Bowyer’s side thus far, the former Tottenham Hotspur man is looking to continue building.

McGee said: “I am really enjoying the challenge so far and am looking forward to playing more games and hopefully picking up some more results, as the weeks go on.

“Being on loan, I have to take things game by game and am just trying to make the most of the time I have here.

“I know I have from now until the end of the season to try and perform as well as possible and do all I can for this club, so am determined to do that.

“Everybody is focussed on Saturday’s trip to Mansfield and hopefully going there and getting a positive result.”

Having had a week to settle into his new surroundings, McGee is enjoying his time in BD8.

The 24-year-old has developed close relationships with his City team-mates and can feel their effect on the pitch.

He added: “I have enjoyed my time a lot, so far. I feel I have settled in really well and quickly and am getting used to everything around here.

“The lads have all been brilliant and I get on with them well and Gary Bowyer and his staff have made me feel really welcome.

“I have been happy with my performances and feel myself fitting into this team.

“I was disappointed to have conceded two goals against Scunthorpe but was happy with the clean sheet on Tuesday.”

Over 1,300 city supporters are set to descend on the One Call Stadium on Saturday, with tickets from a second allocation available to purchase by CLICKING HERE.
