AWAY DAY GUIDE: SALFORD v CITY

7 March 2020

Stuart McCall's Bantams are looking for back-to-back victories this afternoon - when travelling to take on Salford City.

We have compiled a handy Away Day Guide - packed full of useful information ahead of the 3.00pm contest!

STADIUM ADDRESS

The Peninsula Stadium

Moor Lane

Salford

Lancashire

M7 3PZ

PYROTECHNICS & BEHAVIOUR

The club would like to remind supporters the possession or use of pyrotechnics inside a football ground is strictly prohibited.

Those found to be carrying or using pyrotechnics will face a long-term ban.

We would like to remind supporters it is a criminal offence to enter the pitch at any time.

Anyone who does so without permission can expect to face prosecution.

ABOUT THE GROUND

The Peninsula Stadium - traditionally known as Moor Lane - has been home to Salford since its opening in 1978.

With a capacity of 5,108, the ground underwent renovations from 2016 to 2017 - as well as more last season, after having to comply with EFL regulations, following their promotion to Sky Bet League Two.

Today's fixture could be in line to break the Peninsula Stadium's attendance record - which was set against Leeds United in last year's Carabao Cup tie, currently standing at 4,518.

TICKETS

Tickets in this afternoon's away end are completely SOLD OUT, with no pay-on-the-gate option available.

Travelling Bantams will pack out the East Stand (standing terraced) and a block of the Moor Lane North Stand (seated), with over 1,300 City supporters making the trip.

Away supporters attempting to gain admission to home sections of the ground (West Stand, South Stand, North Stand blocks A to G) may be refused entry.

Away supporters identified inside home sections of the ground may be ejected without refund.

CAR PARKING

The Salford Park & Ride service runs from the IT Lab car park to the Peninsula Stadium, opening at 1.30pm.

The address for this is Riverside, Agecroft Road, Swinton M27 8SJ and the cost just £2.

A resident-only parking scheme operates around the ground for home games with hours between 12.00pm and 7.00pm.

ENTERTAINMENT AND REFRESHMENTS

To drink:

With no pubs located in the close vicinity of the ground, supporters located in the North Stand are permitted access to The '92 Bar - before and after kick-off, and at half-time.

To eat:

Kiosks inside the Peninsula Stadium serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages on top of hot and cold refreshments such as burgers, pies and pasties.

GETTING THERE

By car:

Moor Lane is located just over two miles away from Junction 17 of the M60. The ground is not located in Salford itself, but in the nearby area of Kersal.

From the M60 at Junction 17 take the A56 towards Manchester City Centre. Keep straight along the A56 and after passing a Lidl stare on the left with a Carphone Warehouse on the opposite side of the road.

Then, take the third turning on the right (at the traffic lights and signposted Oaklands Hall/St Pauls Church) into Moor Lane.

For the main entrance take the next left into Nevile Road and you will reach the ground down on the right, after the school.

By train:

Manchester Victoria station is the nearest mainline station to the Peninsula Stadium, located around three miles out.

Manchester Picadilly is also nearby, with Salford Quays, Salford Crescent and Salford Central also in the ground's vicinity.

By bus:

Buses 97 and 98 both serve Moor Lane from Manchester City centre - with the journey typically taking 20-30 minutes. The X43 Watchway Bus also serves the Peninsula Stadium.

WEATHER

Mixed conditions are expected today, with a 13 per-cent chance of rain set to accompany temperatures of 11°C.
