BRADFORD CITY WOMEN NEEDS YOU

24 November 2020

Bradford City Women’s off-field recruitment drive continues to gather pace - with places on the club’s committee available.

Chair Sally Thackray and treasurer Allyson Matthews are both aiming to retire this winter, while COVID officer and committee member Chris Routledge left the club at the same time as his daughter - goalkeeper Aimee Routledge.

This leaves the club with three vital positions to fill in a very short space of time. Without the right people in these roles, Bradford City Women may find it increasingly difficult to function effectively.

An incoming chair will:

- Agree agendas and chair committee meetings, AGMs, other ancillary meetings as required

- Establish steering group in conjunction with FITC Foundation and BCAFC to oversee the future working relationship between BCWFC and junior section based in the Foundation

- Oversee recruitment of committee members and other club officials as required

- Promote and maintain an effective link with BCAFC

- Chair club disciplinary panel as required

- Liaise with club partners, meeting regularly as required

- Ensure all League meetings are attended as required

An incoming treasurer will:

- Oversee the finances of the club, ensure all monies are brought to account and are accounted for effectively, and that the club remains solvent.

- Collect/receive all subscriptions and other monies due, banking promptly following receipt

- Advise as appropriate of any outstanding monies due, but not received

- Ensure all receipts and payments are logged in the cash book record

- Ensure all bills are paid promptly, in accordance with the governing bodies rules

- Prepare year end statement of accounts for presentation to members

- Financial planning - produce an annual budget forecast pre-season, and review and update throughout the year, providing regular reports to the committee

An incoming COVID officer will:

- Be familiar with all COVID-19 guidance provided by the FA, via BCWFC secretary

- Be familiar with all national guidance relating to COVID-19 on the Gov.com website

- Update the COVID-19 risk assessment

- Liaise with coaches where required to advise as per all guidance and COVID-19 risk assessment

- Oversee match day procedures relating to COVID-19 as per guidance and BCWFC risk assessment. Matchday attendance would be required where possible.

- Verbally update the BCWFC committee at meetings.

If you are interested in any of the three key positions, or would like more information about joining the committee and assisting the club - from chair to turnstile operator - please contact Sally Thackray as soon as possible by e-mailing sallythackray21@hotmail.co.uk.
