CITY TO SUPPORT RAINBOW LACES AGAINST CARLISLE

29 November 2020

Saturday's visit of Carlisle United will see City support Stonewall's annual Rainbow Laces campaign - working to 'Make Sport Everyone's Game'.

Taking place from November 26 to December 13, this year's campaign aims to educate and encourage allyship - to support Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) inclusion in sport.

Next weekend's 3.00pm visit of the Cumbrians (December 5) will represent the Bantams' dedicated Rainbow Laces fixture, ahead of Rainbow Laces Day on December 9.

During the game, players will sport rainbow laces and captain's armbands, with rainbow corner flags and fourth-official board stickers also in place at the Utilita Energy Stadium.

Statistics show 12 million people in Britain saw the Rainbow Laces campaign in November 2019, including 35% of all sport fans.

The club urges supporters to step out and be an LGBT ally throughout this year's Rainbow Laces campaign.
