Three exciting youngsters from within City's Football Development Programme have been called up to train with the club's academy.

The course, run by the club's Community Foundation, offers promising young footballers an opportunity to develop their career upon leaving school, while furthering their studies.

And, having impressed within their groups on the Football Development Programme, under-18s Piankhi Te Sethi (pictured above) and Curtis Broadfield - and under-16 Kai Armitage have now been invited to train with the club's academy until December.

Head of the Football Development Programme, Adam Fox, said: "It is fantastic to see the pathway between our programme and the club's academy.

"P, Curt and Kai have done very well with us and have got their reward. If nothing else, they will enjoy a fantastic experience and receive first-class coaching from the likes of Mark Trueman, Conor Sellars and Ryan Farrell.

"It is great for the FDP. I know it is driving our other players on even more and this can only be good for everyone."
