OPPOSITION GUIDE: HARROGATE TOWN

City return to Sky Bet League Two action with the visit of Harrogate Town to the Utilita Energy Stadium on Monday evening (7.45pm).

The North Yorkshire outfit have started their first ever Sky Bet League Two campaign in encouraging form, picking up five points from their opening four games.

We have compiled an Opposition Guide, packed full of detailed information on tomorrow's visitors.

TRANSFER ACTIVITY

Town have spent the summer making eight new additions, with six players heading the other way.

INS: Connor Kirby (Sheffield Wednesday), Jake Lawlor (Wrexham), Tom Walker (AFC Fylde). Kevin Lokko (Dover Athletic), Melvin Minter (Kings Langley), Calvin Miller (Celtic), Kian Harratt (Huddersfield Town), Dan Jones (Salford City).

ONES TO WATCH

Calvin Miller

Calvin Miller emerged through the youth ranks at Celtic before joining Harrogate Town earlier this month.

The 22-year-old winger has represented Scotland 32 times at youth level, and registered an assist on his Town debut against Bolton Wanderers last weekend.

Jack Emmett

Local lad Jack Emmett progressed through the Harrogate Town youth system before joining Simon Weaver’s first team squad in 2014.

The 26-year-old midfielder made 29 appearances for his boyhood club last campaign.

Jack Muldoon

Jack Muldoon joined Harrogate Town in the summer of 2018 from AFC Fylde, and has made 83 appearances for the North Yorkshire outfit.

The 31-year-old forward has already netted three goals in Sky Bet League Two so far this season.

THE MANAGER

Having passed the 10-year milestone in May 2019, Simon Weaver is one of English football’s longest-serving managers.

The 42-year-old former defender has achieved two promotions with the club - competing in the fourth tier of English football for the first time in their history.

THE CAPTAIN

Josh Falkingham joined Harrogate Town in 2017 from Darlington - captaining the club to two promotions in three years.

The midfielder came through the ranks at Leeds United, before spells with St Johnstone, Arbroath, Dunfermline Athletic - and is manager of the Harrogate Town under-23s team.

LAST TIME OUT

Harrogate secured a 3-1 victory over Leicester City Under-21s in the EFL Trophy at the Keepmoat Stadium.
