TEAM NEWS

City: Callum Cooke, who featured off the bench on Tuesday evening, will be pushing for his first start in City colours since the draw with Bolton Wanderers in March.

Lee Novak could also be back in contention, having been sidelined with a knee injury since December.

Billy Clarke will be unavailble for the trip to Vale Park - after Mark Trueman confirmed he was withdrawn at half-time against Tranmere Rovers with a calf strain.

Port Vale: Former Bantam Kurtis Guthrie is likely to play a part against his former side, having started in Vale's victory against Barrow last time out.

Tom Conlon bagged a brace at Holker Street and is likely to feature on Saturday afternoon.

The Valiants’ captain Leon Legge has started the last 14 matches and should start once again for Darrell Clarke’s side.

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAID

Mark Trueman: "Port Vale are another team which has probably hit form at a good time.

"They are a good team and are scoring goals and keeping them out at the other end.

"They look to get crosses into the box and get as many bodies forward as possible when attacking, so we will have to be wary of their threats."

Darrell Clarke: "We will be judged on this game at Bradford because you are only as good as your last match.

"Bradford are a big club with high expectations and ambitions. They want to be higher up in the leagues and, like everybody else, have to earn their right."
