The Bantams are back on the road in Sky Bet League Two - travelling to Harrogate Town in an all-Yorkshire affair on Saturday afternoon.

Town have enjoyed a productive first-ever season in Sky Bet League Two, having won 14, drawn eight and lost 19 so far this season.

We have compiled together everything you need to know about our Yorkshire neighbours in this Opposition Guide.

TRANSFER ACTIVITY 

The Sulphurites made eight signings in January, as a further four players departed the club.

INS: Mitchell Roberts (Birmingham City, loan), Jay Williams (Kettering Town), Joshua McPake (Rangers, loan), Simon Power (Norwich City), Josh March (Forest Green Rovers, loan), Ed Francis (unassigned), William Hondermarck (Norwich City, loan), Josh Andrews (Birmingham City, loan).

OUTS: Calvin Miller (Notts County, loan), Tom Walker (Stockport County, loan), Joe Leesley (Boston United, loan), Jack Emmett (unassigned).

ONES TO WATCH 

Jack Muldoon

Muldoon joined Harrogate Town in the summer of 2018 from AFC Fylde, and has made 129 appearances for the North Yorkshire outfit, scoring 41 and assisting nine.

The 31-year-old forward has also enjoyed spells with Sheffield FC, Worksop Town, Halifax Town and Lincoln City.

Mark Beck 

Beck began his career with Carlisle United after coming through the academy with the Cumbrians. Short loan spells followed for the frontman before he penned a permanent deal with Yeovil Town 2015.

The 27-year-old spent a season with the Glovers and signed for Darlington in 2016, where he enjoyed rich goal-scoring form. Beck made the move to Harrogate Town in 2017 and has helped to secure two promotions from the National League North to Sky Bet League Two.

Jon Stead

Stead has enjoyed a 19-year playing career which has seen him represent 12 different clubs including notable spells with Huddersfield Town, Ipswich Town, Bristol City and Notts County.

The 38-year-old enjoyed time at the Utilita Energy Stadium and was part of the team that knocked Chelsea out of the Emirates FA Cup at Stamford Bridge in January 2015.

Stead signed for the Sulphurites in 2019, where he helped the side into Sky Bet League Two for the first time in the club’s history.

THE CAPTAIN

Josh Falkingham joined Harrogate Town in 2017 from Darlington - captaining the club to two promotions in three years.

The midfielder came through the ranks at Leeds United, before spells with St Johnstone, Arbroath, Dunfermline Athletic - and is manager of Harrogate Town Under-23s team.

THE MANAGER

Having passed the 10-year milestone in May 2019, Simon Weaver is one of English football’s longest-serving managers. The 43-year-old has achieved two promotions with the club during his tenure. 

Weaver also enjoyed a 16-year playing career as a defender for the likes of Nuneaton Borough, Lincoln City, Tamworth and Town.

LAST TIME OUT 

Harrogate held play-off chasing Leyton Orient to a 2-2 draw at the EnviroVent Stadium, to avoid a third-successive home defeat.
