We have created this Opposition Guide to take you through everything you need to know about the Boro.

ONES TO WATCH

Ben Coker

Coker joined Stevenage on loan at the start of the season from Lincoln City and made the move permanent in October 2020. The 31-year-old has made the majority of his club appearances at Southend United - playing 186 times for the Shrimpers.

The defender gained accolades with the Essex side by securing promotion to Sky Bet League One in 2015, beating Wycombe Wanderers at Wembley on penalties.

Romain Vincelot

Vincelot enjoyed two years with the Bantams from 2016 until 2018, making 94 appearances and scoring seven goals.

The 35-year-old has featured for 11 clubs throughout his 16-year career for the likes of Dagenham and Redbridge, Leyton Orient and Coventry City.

The midfielder was brought to Stevenage on a free transfer from Shrewsbury Town and has since made 24 appearances for the Hertfordshire side.

Luke Prosser

The 32-year-old signed for the Boro at the beginning of August last year after spending four seasons at Colchester United.

The experienced defender came through the ranks at Port Vale and featured 35 times for the club before signing a permanent deal with Southend United in 2010. Prosser won promotion to Sky Bet League One in 2015, with fellow Stevenage defender Ben Coker at Wembley Stadium.

THE CAPTAIN

Scott Cuthbert was given the armband in 2019 - having only been at the club for a year.

Throughout his career, the 33-year-old has reached three EFL play-off finals - including the promotion-winning play-off final match with Luton Town.

He has also represented St Mirren, Swindon Town and Leyton Orient.

THE MANAGER

Alex Revell was appointed manager of Stevenage in February 2020, following the resignation of Graham Westley.

The 37-year-old made 54 apparences and scored 13 goals for Boro, and also came out of an under-18s coaching role to aid the first-team squad in their relegation battle - during the 2019/20 season.

As a player, Revell enjoyed a 20-year career for 14 different clubs including Braintree Town, Brighton and Hove Albion, Rotherham United and Cardiff City.
