11 August 2021

Sponsored by

The Bantams will travel to Sky Bet Championship side Nottingham Forest this evening - in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

We have produced an Away Day Guide with some handy information ahead of the encounter - which will get underway from 7.45pm.

STADIUM ADDRESS

The City Ground

West Bridgford

Nottingham

NG2 5FJ

ABOUT THE GROUND

The The City Ground has been home to Forest since back in 1898.

It was one of eight facilities which helped England host Euro 1996 - with three matches taking place at the venue.

The stadium has been expanded several times over the years, and now holds a total capacity of 30,445 (all seated).

TICKETS

Tickets remain on general sale to City supporters - until MIDDAY WEDNESDAY

Visiting fans will be located in the lower tier of the Bridgford Stand, with the Bantams allocated a total of 1,500 tickets.

If you bought your ticket from Friday onwards, you are required to pick it up from the Utilita Energy Stadium ticket office.

However, if this is not possible, you can collect from The City Ground’s away ticket office from 6.15pm.

There will be NO SALES ON THE DAY OF THE MATCH - at The City Ground - with all supporters advised to secure their place in advance from the ticket office at the Utilita Energy Stadium, or the club's official ticketing website

CAR PARKING

There is very limited parking available for visiting supporters at the stadium, however parking in a street close by is an option.

The Victoria Embankment is another spot to park your vehicle. You will be charged £5 - with the facility just a two-minute walk from the venue - near the Trent Bridge cricket stadium.

ENTERTAINMENT AND REFRESHMENTS

The only pub near the ground which welcomes visiting supporters is Broken Wheelbarrow Pub - which is located at Notts County Football Club’s Meadow Lane Stadium.

Inside the stadium itself, there are plenty of food and drink options to purchase from kiosks near the away end.

GETTING THERE

By car:

Route from north: Come off the M1 at Junction 26 and take A610 towards Nottingham before following signs for Melton Mowbray.

Cross the River Trent and you will see the ground on your left-hand side.

Route from south: Depart the M1 at Junction 24 and then take the A453 towards Nottingham. Get on the A52 East for Grantham and then the A6011 into Nottingham. The ground is next to the A6011.

By bus:

There are plenty of buses which get you to The City Ground from Nottingham city centre including the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 22, and 90.

The journey is nice and quick, taking under 10 minutes.

By train:

Nottingham Railway Station is one mile and a 20-minute walk from the stadium.

Once you exit the main entrance of the station, turn left twice and then follow the road down to the dual carriageway before turning right.

The stadium is around 0.75 miles down the road on the left, just over the Trent Bridge.

WEATHER

There is expected to be highs of 22°C throughout the day in Nottingham, with mainly sun and cloud.

However, with the game being an evening kick-off, it will likely be cooler by the time the action gets underway.
