City made it three-consecutive victories in Sky Bet League Two with a dramatic 3-2 triumph over Mansfield Town.
A late winner from Andy Cook against his former club ensured the Bantams took all three points at the One Call Stadium, in a pulsating affair.
The visitors broke the deadlock with 19 minutes on the clock, when Callum Cooke’s inswinging corner was headed into the back of the net by Paudie O’Connor, for his first goal of the season.
Nigel Clough’s side had an opportunity to level the scoring when George Maris’ effort from the edge of the 18-yard box was denied by Richard O’Donnell.
The Stags did find their equaliser when Stephen Quinn’s cross from the left-hand side was headed in by forward Oli Hawkins.
Shortly after the interval, the East Midlands side hit the front when Rhys Oates’ cross was guided into the bottom corner by Hawkins for his second of the contest.
The Bantams hit back with just over an hour on the clock when Cooke passed to Charles Vernam who emphatically struck his attempt into the far corner of the goal.
Vernam then went on a promising run down the left flank, before squaring the ball to Cook whose weak effort landed in the grateful arms of Stags goalkeeper Nathan Bishop.
The hosts had a great opportunity to score a would-be late winner when Stephen McLaughlin’s deep cross found Elliott Hewitt - whose effort was somehow kept out by O’Donnell.
Derek Adams’ side then went up the other end and did find the all-important goal, with the game reaching its end.
Bishop originally kept out Vernam's effort before the ball fell to Cook who made no mistake in tapping in the rebound and winning the match for the Bantams, in front of a raucous away end.
