The Bantams will be aiming to earn their third-consecutive victory in Sky Bet League Two when making the trip to the East Midlands to take on Mansfield Town.

City came out on top in both league meetings last season, including a 3-1 triumph at the One Call Stadium.

Both teams have made identical starts to the new season with two wins and a draw from their opening three matches.

We have put together an Opposition Guide to give you all the information you need to know about Saturday's opponents.

The Stags’ summer transfer window has seen them sign six players on a permanent basis and seven players depart the club for good.

INCOMINGS: George Shelvey (Nottingham Forest under-23s, loan), Nathan Bishop (Manchester United under-23s, loan), Elliott Hewitt (Grimsby Town), Ryan Burke (Birmingham City under-23s), Ryan Stirk (Birmingham City under-23s, loan), Stephen Quinn (Burton Albion), Rhys Oates (Hartlepool United), Danny Johnson (Leyton Orient), Oliver Hawkins (Ipswich Town).

Ollie Clarke

Mansfield's current club captain signed for the Stags at the beginning of the 2020/21 campaign, having previously spent his entire career at Bristol Rovers.

The 29-year-old midfielder has so far made 40 appearances for the club, scoring four times in total.

George Lapslie

After originally joining on loan from Charlton Athletic, Lapslie signed for the East Midlands side on a permanent basis back in January.

The 23-year-old netted eight goals and provided two assists throughout the 2020/21 campaign with the Stags, before being voted the club’s Supporters’ Player of the Year.

Rhys Oates

The forward joined the club in the summer from Hartlepool United, who he helped gain promotion to Sky Bet League Two last season.

After netting 17 times in the National League during 2020/21, the 26-year-old will be hoping to continue this form with the Stags.

Nigel Clough, son of the late Brian, took over as manager of the club in November 2020.

He has so far overseen 43 matches, winning 18, drawing 13, and losing 12 giving him an overall win percentage of 41.9.
