City are back in midweek action - travelling to the Sands Venue Stadium to face Scunthorpe United in Sky Bet League Two (7.00pm). 

Mark Trueman and Conor Sellars’ were set to play the Iron on January 9, but the fixture was postponed due to a frozen playing surface. 

The Bantams could rise above the hosts in the table on Tuesday evening with victory, though Neil Cox’s side have won their last three matches.

TEAM NEWS

City: Saturday’s debutant goal-scorers Charles Vernam and Ollie Crankshaw are both back in contention for Tuesday evening, as Lee Novak remains sidelined.

Danny Rowe (non-COVID illness), Gareth Evans and Andy Cook (injuries) could return for the Bantams, having sat out of City's trip to St James Park. 

Billy Clarke remains unavailable, while Jordan Stevens and Niall Canavan will be once again pushing for starts. 

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAID

Conor Sellars (joint-interim): “We have an opportunity to right the wrongs straight away - which is something we have stressed to the players. 

“We need to implement what we have identified after Saturday, and do everything we can to hopefully come away with the three points. 

“It is important we show a reaction to the weekend’s performance and result - which we are looking forward to hopefully doing.”

MATCH OFFICIALS

David Rock has taken charge of 19 matches this season, including five in Sky Bet League Two. He has awarded 58 yellow cards, two reds and five penalties in the process. 

The Hertfordshire-based referee officiated Scunthorpe United’s 3-1 defeat away at Exeter City in October, but is yet to take charge of the Bantams this season.

Rock will be assisted by Stephen Wade and Geoffrey Liddle, with Rebecca Welch in as the fourth official.
