CLUB SUPPORTING CHILDREN'S MENTAL HEALTH WEEK

3 February 2021

City's Community Foundation will support Children's Mental Health Week - by providing over 40 children across the district with free footballs.

The pledge will see each player within the club's Football Development Programme's under-9s to under-14s age categories receive a free football.

Place2Be's Children's Mental Health Week launched in 2015, and this year runs from February 1 to February 7.

Now in its seventh year, the campaign aims to shine a spotlight on the importance of children and young people’s mental health.

Adam Fox, head of the Football Development Programme, said: "This is fantastic for our players, and will help them keep active and engaged throughout this lockdown."

Qasim Akhtar, Bradford City Community Foundation's business development officer, added: "Supporting children in the community is ultimately our main aim, and so we are pleased to be able to help people in any small way we can."
