Callum Cooke is “desperate” to get back on the pitch in claret and amber, ahead of City’s Sky Bet League Two visit of Crawley Town.
The Bantams entertain John Yems’ side on Saturday (January 16) - on the back of two postponed fixtures - having not yet played in 2021.
Cooke admits the past two weeks have been difficult with no football, and maintains he and his team-mates are more than ready to return.
The midfielder said: “It has been a killer, recently, with our matches being off.
“Hopefully, the snow covers on the pitch hold firm and we can get the game on against Crawley.
“The past few weeks have been difficult, and we are all absolutely desperate to get back out there and pick our good run of form back up.”
Despite having not contested a fixture since before the turn of the year, Cooke insists the Bantams are still very much in a positive frame of mind, on the back of recent results.
Mark Trueman and Conor Sellars’ side will be looking to resume a five-match unbeaten run against the Red Devils, and the 23-year-old feels the momentum is still with the home side.
He added: “It was nice to see Crawley do well in the Emirates FA Cup last week, but we feel we can hurt them - as we felt we did when we played them at their place not so long ago.
“We know what their strengths and weaknesses are but they will probably feel the same, and enter the game confident as well.
“We have got to focus on ourselves, though, and know we have momentum from the run of results we have had - even if we have not managed to play many games, of late.
“Fingers crossed, the pitch can stay in good condition and we will be able to get the game on and pick up three points.”
