City manager Derek Adams was happy with his side’s “professional” performance - following their 3-1 friendly victory over neighbours Brighouse Town.

First-half goals from Ollie Crankshaw, Gareth Evans and Kian Scales maintained the Bantams’ 100% pre-season record.

Adams praised the way his players performed, and is looking forward to more challenges in pre-season before City's Sky Bet League Two season begins.

He said: “Overall, it was another successful evening.

“The majority of the players were able to play the entire 90 minutes - which was the main aim - and, of course, we earned another win.

“Again, the team went about their business professionally, which was very encouraging for us to see.

“We have a total of three more difficult tests coming up in pre-season, and we now look forward to them.”

Adams was also eager to mention how happy he has been with the support from supporters since they have made their return.

After being unable to witness their team play in person for close to 18 months, the City faithful has returned in numbers to get behind the Bantams during pre-season.

He added: “The supporters were once again fantastic, which has been great to see.

“They make such a difference to the players, and this is certainly showing on the pitch.

“Luckily, they have managed to see nearly all of the squad members play in the four games so far.

“It was another fantastic turnout here, and I am happy the selected team was able to put on another show for them.”
