Ollie Crankshaw insists the Bantams cannot let their confidence get the better of them - ahead of tomorrow’s meeting with Mansfield Town.

City welcome the Stags to the Utilita Energy Stadium while in hunt of their fifth-straight victory, after a 2-1 triumph at Walsall over the weekend.

Having started at the Banks’s Stadium on Saturday, Crankshaw has called for he and his team-mates to ensure they adopt the same mentality against Nigel Clough’s side.

He said: “The mentality around the club is a strong one. It is a great environment and I felt that from the very moment I walked into the building.

“We approach the game with confidence, but we know nothing is given, especially in this league.

“We are going to be working hard and heading into the game with the same mentality we always do, in order to try and get the three points.”

On top of aiming to carry momentum into each game, Crankshaw admits Mark Trueman and Conor Sellars have again prepared their side for the threats the One Call Stadium outfit will provide.

The former Wigan Athletic wide man revealed the Bantams are preparing diligently for each opponent they face - in an attempt to extend their winning run.

The 22-year-old added: “Tactically, we are working very hard - on and off the field - and doing everything we can to prepare for each game.

“It is up to us to give ourselves every chance to beat our opponents, which is important.

“The more information you have on the opposition will help you, and that is the way we are approaching games at the moment.”
