Conor Sellars has demanded the Bantams bounce back from their second defeat in 16 games - when travelling to Carlisle United tomorrow (3.00pm).
City fell to a late Matthew Dolan double at Newport County in midweek, which spelled the end of a six-game unbeaten run.
Despite confessing his side draws confidence from its reaction to their last defeat, Sellars is determined to see a positive attitude at Brunton Park.
City’s joint manager said: “It is about us bouncing back at Carlisle. There was a a lot of disappointment with Tuesday’s game, but we know we have to move on quickly.
“We can take confidence from our reaction to the Exeter City defeat, but cannot let that lead us to believing we are automatically going to go on another winning run.
“We have to take confidence from it into the next game, but make sure we are fully concentrated on what we need to do, and go in it determined to win.”
While stressing the importance of his side’s response in Cumbria, Sellars has admitted the encouragement he draws from the players’ attitudes, on and off the field.
He feels the character and work rate of his Bantams will stand them in the best-possible stead to bounce back at Carlisle.
Sellars added: “The players have got terrific character and we know they will give 100% and make sure they do all they can to put a performance in.
“We have a team of good people who work hard for the cause and, when you see our team, you know everyone is going to work hard and fight until the very last minute - as we have seen.
“Carlisle have dipped in form a little bit, but were up there earlier in the season. They are full of energy and are good at what they do, so I am sure they will be looking to overturn their recent form.
“In our minds, we felt we should have won on Tuesday, so that is something we have to take to Carlisle looking to ensure we do not see a repeat of.”
